These Terms of Use govern your use of hymnkeys.com (the “Site”), operated by JY Concepts, based in New York, USA. By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

What the Site offers

HymnKeys is a free resource for classic hymns: their words, a practice player for the melody, projection slides, large-print sheets, and lists by topic, occasion and season. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

Hymns, Scripture and our writing

The hymn words and melodies on the Site were first published more than 95 years ago and are in the public domain in the United States; their status may differ in other countries. Scripture is from the King James Version. Short descriptions of topics and occasions are written by us. We work to keep words, notes and dates accurate, but mistakes can happen; please tell us if you find one.

Using and sharing content

The public-domain hymns are free for anyone to sing, project, print and copy, in church or anywhere else. You may also share the Site’s slides, print sheets and images. Copying the Site’s design, its lists or our own writing in bulk requires our written permission.

What you may not do

• Scrape or copy the Site in bulk, or use bots to access it, except search engines indexing it normally.
• Submit other people’s email addresses to our signup form, or try to get around our spam protection.
• Interfere with the Site, its security or its hosting.
• Use the Site for anything illegal.

Weekly email

If you sign up, we will email you one hymn each week. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by writing to us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your email address.

Our content

Apart from the public-domain hymns and Scripture, the Site’s design, writing, images and name are owned by JY Concepts.

Other websites and services

The Site links to and uses services from others (such as Cloudflare, Google and social networks). We aren’t responsible for their content or practices.

No warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it accurate and online but don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, JY Concepts is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Because the Site is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to US $50.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will post changes here and update the date above. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
